hey, so I have this huge problem that's making me really angry right now. It's kind of a weird problem that's not only sims4 related, but I still hope anyone can help me.
So I wanted to download this game(not Sims, another game), but I didn't have enough storage on my Mac so I connected it to iCloud and then weird things started to happen to my Sims game. First all my expansion packs got deleted so I had to re-install them all, then my Sims game didn't want to load but only after I clicked on a household to play(on the start screen and after I clicked on a save file it was loading pretty quickly), so I decided to remove my mods to repair the game, but the mods didn't want to go away, like even though I removed them from the folder Sims showed the mods to me when I went into the game. Then I figured that the problem is iCloud so I disabled it, but now I suddenly have multiple EA folders. One of them is completely messed up and has some stuff missing, another one has, like, 20 save files in it and some are double and the third one looks pretty normal, but now I have no idea which one is the right one and how to get my save files back.
I read somewhere that you have to rename the save files and I tried doing that, but only one save file kept appearing even after I renamed the other ones.
Please someone help me I'm really desperate here

The only location the game will look at for your user data is Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Let's do a proper search to find all the Sims 4 folders you have:
Open Terminal and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:
find ~ -type d -name "*The Sims 4*" 2>/dev/null
After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.
Bit concerned that you've renamed your save files. Why have you done that and what have you renamed them to? This should only be done if you're restoring a backup manually.

I just changed the “.ver1” at the end of the files because google said that apparently it helps
and it did help, but like I said only with one file
I haven’t done the search thing you told me yet, but after I did that, what am I supposed to do with the multiple save files? How does the game recognize them again?

As requested, post the results here and I can help you get them in the right location.
