Save rollback
I have no idea how to describe this so bear with me as I try to. But basically, sometime earlier this week I saved and exited like normal and everything saved fine but next time I opened the game it rolled back to the previous time I saved which was a day or two before that and lost about 4-6 hours of gameplay. I then tried rolling back the save and renaming save files which didn't work, so I gave up and played at that starting point again (whenever I exited, I made sure I saved) and next time I played, it was like I hadn't played at all again and was at the same starting point. I have the save files from whenever I saved the second time, they're there in the save folder. I tried going in game without mods and repairing the game and no dice so far. The weird part is that whenever I click load game, the family photo shows correctly where I am as far as progress but whenever I load the game, it goes back in time to a day or two in game. I'm lost. if this is possibly a save corruption issue I'd be devastated because this save is over a year old.
I have found that the only solution for this is to go into your saves pre glitch and start from there. This worked for my specific situation so I can't say if it'll work for anyone else's. So say you saved and exited and then the next day you go to play, and all your work is gone, You have to find a point, pre glitch to play with. This is a lot of loading into manage worlds, the main menu, and renaming saves, but if it works, it works.
