Screen going to black when opening sims 4 Please help!

Hi, so ive been having this problem for a couple days. I use a mac to play the sims 4 and have the sims 4 legacy edition. When ever i open the sims 4 it opens up like normal then i get the first plumbob screen and the screen just becomes black. Ive tried to delete the options.ini page that i had but that didnt work. I still hear the music playing in the backround so i guess the game is working but something else is breaking only on part of the game. Please help!
