Sims 3 disc authentication failure

Haven't played sims for a year and have recently redownloaded origin with both sims 3 and sims 3 seasons but keep getting told there is a disc Authentication failure??? I have a MacBook Air so have never even played sims with the disc in the past? Please help asap
