sims 3 won't launch from origin (mac)

I always played the Sims 3 on my 2010 MacBook, then i upgraded to a 2015 MacBook pro and only played the sims 4 on origin and it worked perfectly! Then i decided to reinstall the sims 3 and with several EP with no issues on origin until i try to play the game! i will press play and a little message pops up saying "unknown error occurred"

any suggestions?

    Hi @randinicole24,

    Your issue might be this one. Please, take a look to the list of Macs in there and check if yours is in the list. If it is on the list, I recommend you to read the post for more information.
