Sims 4 application not responding

I've been playing the Sims 4 for a couple weeks now. I have had no issues with the game so far, until randomly today I have been unable to open the game. Every time I try to launch, it plays the opening graphic, but then pauses before the green gem begins to spin (I have attached a screenshot of what the game stops on). When I right-click the app it says application not responding. I have repaired the game multiple times, turned off Origin in-game, removed the Sims 4 folder from EA to my desktop, removed all CC, checked for updates, and still nothing seems to work. I played the game last night and everything was working fine. Help @Bluebellflora
