Sims 4 CAS cursor glitch
In the sims 4 create a sim whenever I hover over a sim with the cursor to edit the sim body or face it's fine, but when I hover away from the sim the cursor thinks it's still on the sim. It's hard to ...
And what pointing device are you using? Apple Mouse/Trackpad, 3rd party? Have you changed any settings in System Preferences? What Mods do you have installed?
I am using the Apple mouse that came with my computer. I do not change any of the settings, the only thing I changed was how fast my mouse goes and that was when I got my computer two years ago. This issue has only been happening for about a few weeks, so I have not changed anything before that.
I have the basic mods like clothing and hair, I have one to make my sims teeth more white, I have one where the CAS lighting is brighter looking, I have skins and makeup, I have MC Command Center.
And my CC is Maxis Match, not the Alpha kind. And I do not use any type of build CC or mods that adds extra playing content in game.
Also I have taken out all my mods and tried it and it still did not work.
I know you think your issue is a Mac bug, and it may be, but please understand that only 3 people have so far posted about this issue. And only you have posted your specs. so there is nothing to compare to. I don't see anything in your Mac's specs. and OS which could cause the issue and it certainly isn't an issue affecting every Mac user playing the game.
Have you checked the bug forum to see if others are reporting this? http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4-Bug-Reports/bd-p/The-Sims-4-Bugs I don't know about gameplay bugs, I only concentrate on Mac specific ones, hence asking for more details.
The EA Community Managers on this site are great and actively read threads (Gurus are over on the game forum, not here).
You could give this a try, it's kind of like a super repair:
Hello @iimlana,
I haven't heard of this being a bug, but I can ask around. 🙂
In the meanwhile, if possible, could you try a different mouse (maybe you could borrow one) and try the steps @Bluebellflora posted above.
If I hear anything regarding this I get back to you and hopefully other experiencing the same issue will post their specs as well.
Thanks,
- Kristi
