Sims 4 causing brand new MacBook Air to run very hot?

I downloaded and installed the Sims 4 on my brand new MacBook Air last night, the game runs fine but the fan runs at full blast and the laptop gets super hot so much that I am not comfortable playing...

MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020)

1.1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i3

is my ghz too low to run it?? i really wanna buy it buy im scared it wont let me play it.

Lovely MacBook Air but yes, it's going to struggle with the game as it is so underpowered 🙂
