Sims 4 completely broken - Mac
HI! I've had Sims 4 for a while and used to play all the time. I recently stopped bc well, it's quite boring compared to Sims 3 unless you add mods and my game has been freezing lately since about two patch updates ago (never did before. ever- I've been playing for 2 years).
Yesterday I decided to play while I had some free time in my day.
At first my game should freeze and the entire bottom bar (the aspirations, the inventory, the pause/play fast forward buttpns, and the sims I can click on and play) would disappear along with some icons from the top.The snow will still fall, some NPC's will still move but I can't click anything not even the options button to exit out. It would happen after about of minute of playing and I would have to force quit manually. I figured I had a broken Mod or two in the game and that must be the problem. So I rebooted the game and turned off mods. I saved the changes and restarted the game. Now it gets stuck on the white loading screen before the words pop up. I can't even go to main menu. It's obviously not the mods but the game itself.
Please help me.
I checked my Finder folder and looked in The Sims 4. Some new things have popped up that I've never seen. ( I might be wrong though, I'm not very knowledgable about this stuff unfortunately )

I play in Windowed Laptop version on my 2017 Macbook Air
@magicmeadows Try pulling your entire TS4 game folder out of Documents and onto your desktop. When you launch the game again, a clean folder will spawn with no content. This will get rid of any potential leftover mod-related issues, as well as clear your cache files. (It's also a good diagnostic tool in general.) If you can play in the clean folder for a bit, you can try copying one of your saves into it from your old folder. You could also download new versions of a few mods, after checking to make sure that the creators have updated them to be compatible with your patch level.
It should also be noted that Seasons increased the demands that TS4 puts on your hardware. While you should still be able to play, you might need to lower your graphics settings from what they were before.
