Today when I logged into the Sims my saved file was there but it was corrupted. The image of the Sim I had been playing was white with a question mark over the top. When I clicked to load the save, the game would crash. I did some research and saw I may need to update my OS, so I updated to Sequoia 15.0. However, I still had the problem. I then saw on a forum it could be because of icloud, so I followed instructions to drag and drop it out of my documents folder onto my desktop. However, that then created a new Sims file in documents and that file had no saves. I logged into the game and it had all my expansions but no saved game files. Then I found support here saying I should turn off icloud for documents which I did, but this didn't solve the problem. I figured it was because my salved files were on the desktop, so I put the old folder back into my documents folder replacing the new folder, hoping it would revert back to normal, but I still have no saved files. Is there any way to refresh my game back to how it was a day ago, or search somewhere else to see if we can find my saved files. And even if we do find my saved files, I still had major issues accessing them. Every time I try to log into the game I get a bunch of pop ups saying "welcome to x expansion pack" and it goes through every single one I've purchased. I can understand it doing this once, but it continues to do it every single time. I'm not sure if this helps.
