Sims 4 freezing and crashing on mac

I am currently unable to play the game at all. When I load up I try to click new game and go into CAS. Sometimes right away, sometimes after a minute or two the game will completely freeze with sound still playing. I can't command+tab out, I can't command+option+esc, nothing. After about 5 minutes it forces me to my log-in screen. When I log in the game is closed and I can't open Origin because it says that this app is open by another user, please ask them to quit before lauching (there are no other user accounts on my computer). I have tried removing all mods and cc, removing the sims 4 folder and lauching a new game, repaired files, and uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing is working and I cannot play the game at all currently. I would love some help to solve this issue, thank you.
