Sims 4 game wont save on Mac
So i currently am having the issue of my game not saving. I play on a external drive and i have deleted localthumbcache.

@Bluebellflora Yes i play on an external drive and use a symlink i followed you instructions to so.
Ok, thanks for clarifying. I wasn't sure what "playing on an external drive meant".
Did the symlink work? Does the Sims 4 or Electronic Arts folder, whichever one you created the symlink for, have the little arrow in the corner in your local Documents folder? Can you confirm whether you created the symlink for the Sims 4 folder or the Electronic Arts folder?
- @Bluebellflora Yes the symlink worked, i gave been using it for about a year with no issues. I created the symlink for my electronic arts folder and yes it does have a little black arrow on it.

When you say it's not saving what is happening? Are you getting an error message? Is it crashing? Is it saving but you can't see the saves in the Sims 4 > saves folder? Are you not getting the option to Load Game at the main menu?
