I got the game to function only once during the September patch, but during that game it crashed. Now every time the game loads it crashes or it allows me to get to a lot and that lot no longer has floors then it crashes.

Did you manage to play it ok before the September patch? The floor comment is interesting because a lot of users with the 16" MacBook Pro have also raised this issue.
