Since purchasing my new iMac in September, I've been unable to play The Sims. I don't believe this is due to an update, but some kind of bug in relation to the new AMD graphics and manipulating camera controls in-game. I've reset my game folder to run a clean game, repaired the game through Origin, disabled Origin In-Game and tested using variations to my graphics settings. When the game crashed I am unable to use my mouse to interact with the game, it's locked up and frozen in place sometimes showing a loading cursor which isn't moving. I am able to force-quit the application, but the game has not generated a LastCrash report.
My iMac specs are as follows and I have attached my Config.log;
iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020)
3.8GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7
32GB 2667MHz DDR4
AMD Radeon Pro 5700 8GB
macOS Catalina 10.15.7

You're not the only one unfortunately. Moved your post into this ongoing thread for users with the 2020 27" iMacs.
