Sims 4 keeps crashing on 2020 iMac 27

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.67.45.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Holiday celebration (problem started before this was installed)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Unsure
What happens when the bug occurs? Whole game freezes. Have to force quit. Computer crashes.
What do you expect to see? Freezing randomly occurs. Can hear sims and activities continuing in background but visuals freeze. Can access and click the screen, but the screen itself is either frozen on what i was doing or a bright red screen.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Game worked until creating house, using the moving object cheat and resizing a few objects. We turned off the cheat and removed all objects which had been resized. Nothing changed.

I tried to screen record or screenshot, but the freeze causes my whole mac to crash.
My mac is up to date, brand new, and plenty of storage.

At the moment my game is completely un playable. Freezes within the first 2 minutes, unable to save anything.
