Sims 4 Mac Stuck on Loading Screen NO CC

Hey again,

I now have an another issue that suddenly happened. Out of the blue, my loading screen is stuck after I have picked the sim family I want to play in. I am not sure what to do as previously I had past issues of the game being slow and laggy. I repaired the game to only making the game work at a acceptable pace. Now this happens and I don’t know what to do. I feel like I may have to dig deeper and delete files in the sims 4 file and go back to origin to see what there needs to be done.

My Specs:

macOS Catalina Version 10.15.1

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2015)

Processor: 1.6 GHz Dual Core Intel Core i5

Memory: 8GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB

mods aren’t being used.

From a unknown simmer.

Can you see if updating to the current version of Catalina helps? 10.15.3 is the latest.

Also move your whole Sims 4 folder to the desktop and see if you can play a new, clean game with no previous user data.

I have updated to the latest version as we speak, @Bluebellflora. 🙂

Yes, I do notice a difference now on how a bit more faster than usual and seems more acceptable. 🙂  I have a gut feeling it could be with my savings maybe because my display settings were the same and it would not be the expansions. I thank you again for reaching out to me.

  • @Bluebellflora Now what do I do? Because I put my game on the desktop and my savings is on there and made a new folder for it. I do feel like it has to do with my savings.

See how performance is with a new game. If it improves then substitute the newly created saves folder with the one in the Sims 4 folder you moved. If it perform as badly again then you know the issue is your saves.
