EA App and Origin have no bearing at all on Mods.
Move your Mods folder to the desktop or rename it. Trash the localthumbcache.package file then launch the game. Does it successfully load and can you play without any of the Mods? From what you've described yes but please do these steps. Don't save but simply quit the game. Let me know how you get on.

Good to note. When I remove all mods everything launches just fine. I've tried the 50/50 method down to putting just one file in my mods folder and regardless of which file it is, it stops the game from responding.

Ok. Download one piece of CC from a trusted source, I always use Peacemaker, add it to your Mods folder then try to launch the game. If you’re not already familiar, Peacemaker’s stuff is here https://simsationaldesigns.blogspot.com- 1 year ago@Bluebellflora I've done so with Harrie, even that was rejected

I don’t know who Harrie is. Please humour me and try a piece of Peacy’s CC as from personal experience I know it works. You haven’t added any files from your usual Sims 4 folder to the new one the game has created have you?
