Sims 4 on Mac crashes during startup
I've downloaded the Sims 4 via Origin on my Mac about a year ago I think and I've played almost 800 hours. I use a lot of mods and it's crashed before, but in those cases it opened until the plumbob ...
@Skesa95, the November 2018 patch rendered all Core Script Mods useless unless the Creators have updated them to work with the November or later patches. To test if one of your Mods is the cause of the game crashing, move the entire Sims 4 folder to your Desktop. Start up the game and start a new game to test to make sure the game runs ok without other issues.
Before adding back your Mods, you should check the sites of the creators of your mods and make sure that they did update it or that it did not need to be updated. Download the latest versions, adding them back to your new folder in Documents.
Make sure that Origin In Game is turned off in your Origin Preferences.
