sims 4 on Mac

my game loads but then when I press resume to continue the game it just plays the loading screen then makes the noise like I'm in the game but it still shows the loading screen. & when I go to my saved games it just loads right through. it only gets stuck after I press resume. please help!

    @yazzmynnnnn

    I fully understand what you are saying but want you to test a different save game. You do this by:

    1. Load a different save game from the main menu, NOT clicking resume.

    2. Play for a few minutes and save then quit.

    3. Reload the game. That last saved game should be the one showing as the save to resume. Click resume. Does the same problem still happen?

    If you don't have a different save to load then create a new save and follow steps 2-3.

    @yazzmynnnnn

    When you say you go to your saved games, do you mean you press 'Load Game' instead of 'Resume', select the save and it loads as normal? What happens if you select a different saved game, load it, play, save, quit, then relaunch the game and click Resume. Does the other save properly load?

    @Bluebellflora hi , what I'm trying to say is when I open the app it loads. when I click resume to play where I last left off it gets stuck on the loading screen. when I click load game and I click a saved game and press play on a saved game it will load straight through no problems. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say lol srry

    @yazzmynnnnn so basically what I'm trying to do Is fix it so when I open the app and press resume from where I last left off it won't get stuck on the loading screen for hours.

    Yes I understand. I'm asking whether this is happening when you resume from a different save game? The last game you saved should be the one showing to resume in the main menu.

    I didn't save the last time I played I just close the app out then when I go back the next day I click resume but it just loads and that's what I'm trying to fix

    a few weeks ago , one day I updated the app on origin and it was glitching while updating and I opened the sims app after. I pressed resume instead of load game as usual and it loaded straight through. so the problem that I'm having now I've been having this problem.then I updated it again like week or two ago on the app but it didn't glitch while updating this time. so since I've done that when I go to the sims game now and click resume it just does the same thing it use to which is get stuck on the loading screen. is there a way I can show you ?
