Sims 4 Os Catalina, Help! I've tried everything and I'm still stuck on verifying

Hi, 

Wondering if someone can help, Ive gone through so many threads on here and Ive tried almost everything and I'm still having trouble. I've spent ALOT of money on the Sims games, I just want to be able to play them again! 

I have a Mac late 2012 model recently updated to OS Catalina, since updating Ive noticed my MacBook is wayyyyy slower. It had authenticated other apps fine its just having problems with the Sims 4 it will get to the finalizing stage of downloading on Origin then Verifying the Sims 4 will pop up, it will load about half way then just freeze. Sometimes it has gotten all the way through the verifying but then it will stay stuck on finalizing on Origin. Ive tried all the suggestions on these threads and I'm at a loss.
