Sims 4 'Quit Unexpectedly' MAC

M3 Sonoma mac with the EA app, its been crashing instantly from launching with this error
Namespace DYLD, Code 1 Library missing
Library not loaded: @executable_path/../Frameworks/libActivation.dylib

crashed at thread 0

tried:
removing mods

removing sims 4 folder from electronic arts folder (although a new one isn't generating since i can't open the game at all)

reinstalling game

repairing game

reinstalling EA app

updating game

i would appreciate any suggestions, thanks!! 🙂

my game is on an external hard drive btw, although its probably not the problem. game has full disk access
