Sims 4 stops working after few minutes of playing

I play on a Mac and have had very few issues with it, just only after new updates does my game act up. Recently, after the 30 November 2021 update, my game would stop working after a minute of clicking play on my household. It would freeze and I've no choice but to force quit out of it. It works fine with CAS, though. I've tried clearing out CC that I don't use and selecting the 'repair' option from Origin multiple times but it doesn't work at all. Anyone else facing the same issue? How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.
