Sims 4 stuck saving

My game is stuck saving. I have no mods or CC. I do, however, have a ton of expansion, game, and stuff packs. It won’t let me force quit. Please help!! I am on a MacBook Air M2 chip. I cannot close the sims 4 game. I tried going into origin to repair it but because the game is running I cannot. I am only having this problem now. If this helps at all- My current screen on sims 4 is a saving screen while in build mode. I can move my camera around. Whenever I go back into the game, the music starts up again lol. I was going to save and leave the game because some things in build mode were glitching. When I tried to place an item it would just disappear so I was leaving the game in hopes it would be fixed, normally that works. But things didn't turn out the way I'd hope it would and now I can't close the game. I have tried to quit origin but it won't because the sims 4 is running. It has been running for awhile now. Please help.
