SIMS 4 takes forever to launch

I don’t know what to do my sims 4 takes an hr to load and then and hr on the sims 4 screen and then an hour on the loading screen and I’ve done everything I’ve redownloaded all my mods I’ve turned of...

I just tried your suggestion and it's still stuck on loading screen during initial startup.

Move the whole Sims 4 folder to the desktop then try launching again.

    Still not loading. Should I do these steps, restart my mac, then try launching again?

      Which Mac do you have? Model and OS.

      You have moved the Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts so the game creates a new one when you launch it? The whole folder?

        I have a Macbook Air 13, iOS Sonoma Version 14.1.1. 

        And yes I completely moved the entire EA folder to my desktop, as if I was resetting my game.
