Sims 4 UNPLAYABLE after new update 10/01/2024

Question

My game will be playable for about 10 mins (ONLY if I restart my entire computer) and then stop working again. This issue only started happening with this new update, and has never happened before. It's so incredibly frustrating, I would try deleting the game and redownloading but I don't want to lose my saves. Is this happening to anyone else? Suggestions? I keep checking every day to see if they have a new update, because I want to play the Grim Reaper event but I don't want to restart my whole computer every 15 minutes. I am also not using any mods, DLC or CC, it is just base game.

Hey sorry I'll try to describe better. Yes, the game freezes and I can't click on anything, it lets me enter build mode but I can't go to manage worlds. I can force quit, but if I reopen the game without restarting then it freezes immediately, and when I restart it plays for like 10 mins or less before the same thing happens. If I click on Save and Exit in game it also won't close, I have to force quit for it to even close.&nbsp;

Enabled v sync and it’s still unplayable. Freezes up after about 10 min&nbsp;

Can you explain what "stop working again" means? Does the game freeze and you can't click anything? Does it quit to desktop? Are you restarting your Mac because you cannot use Force Quit - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/102586 ?

Does it still happen with none of your current user data in the new Sims 4 folder?
