Re: 🛠️ Creating a symlink in macOS to store the Sims 4 folder on an external drive

I tried to use Terminal to make a symlink so my game would read off my external SSD. Now the EA App won't launch the game at all. Can a Mac helper walk me through fixing this? I genuinely give up, its been hours. Im not too sure what to do. Currently all my mods are sitting n a folder on my external drive ad the link is still connected. wtf do i do?

I've merged your post into this already well-established guide on creating a symlink. Read through the opening post to check you have correctly created the symlink, that your physical drive connection is good enough, that your hard drive is of sufficient speed, and that you have granted all the necessary permissions when prompted during the symlink process.

You'll need to be more specific about what exactly happens and any error message you receive.

Just your Mods? No saves or any other data in the Sims 4 folder? Does the game launch if you rename the Mods folder in the Sims 4 folder?
