sims game glitching

hi, hope you are all well.

i just purchased a bundle pack including discover university, parenthood and laundry day. i have not played the game for approximately a month or two and have today been exploring all my new cas and build and buy etc, with my main family. i then started gameplay and have come across some glitches and am unclear as of how to fix them. if you could help me out that would be great 🙂 i do have some mods in my game but i updated most of them before i played. i have attached images for reference of the two issues i have noticed.
