Sims game won’t connect

I’m playing on a Mac and my game won’t connect to the internet so I can’t access the gallery.

i noticed the new event also won’t load because of this, even tho my EA app is online.

so far I have:

deleted and reinstalled the game

removed trays, saves and mods

deleted cache

My firewalls turned off on my mac and my bit defender antivirus isn’t blocking it either.
