sims won't update on my mac

its stuck on the old original version like before bunk beds old haha,  ive uninstalled sims4 and re installed it and nothing changed , ive pressed the cog symbol next to play in origin and tried to update and repair , computer said no its all up to date . ive even deleted all mods because I thought it might be an old mod or something but after all that ive still had no luck. im pretty new to the iMac so unsure of how to go about doing things or what to try next . help haha 😳
