Sims4 won't open on my Macbook. Does anyone know how to help this?

Sims4 won't open on my Macbook. It keeps getting stuck on the startup page, doesn't even make it to the Sims logo spinning. Truly just the blue background. I've tried repairing within Origin, clearing my cache, removing my mods, uninstalling both Origin and Sims, restarting my computer. Nothing. It literally worked just yesterday, and now it isn't working. I did download a new mod before opening it today, but like I said, I've removed all the mods from the folder and it still isn't working. Does anyone know how to help this?

If the issue began after adding mods can you ensure that you remove all and reinstall the game.

So it worked before the update but then you updated to yesterdays new patch and it stopped working? It's a Mod issue which is not always fixed by removing just Mods or clearing whatever cache you're referring to.
