Straight to CAS/Missing Sim

I just got a new computer (Mac) and I couldn't recover my old save files (It's only 800+ hours...I'm fine).  I reinstalled the game...and then there was a bug with the hairstyles showing red/white with question marks.  So I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it again, and that was fixed.

So I created a household moved them in and saved.  I saved 2 or 3 times, because I'm so paranoid about my save files now.  I exited the game to download the Magic pack, and when I came back it took me straight to CAS instead of letting me see the neighborhoods.  I was like....ok...and I made another household.  Moved them in.  Saved multiple times.  The previous household is not in the world at all.  When I exited the game and came back, it took me right to CAS again.

BUT my households are in my library.  So....how do I play the game?  Please and thank you.
