I was playing the sims 4 and saved my game then 10 mins later I tried to save again and it said failed to save error: 0 then I switched families and tried to save and it saved. also yesterday...

How do I create a new save folder once I take them

You can move the whole saves folder to the desktop and the game will recreate a new one when you next launch the game.

Ok so I did everything in that post yesterday! I didn’t put my old saved back just restarted a new game with a new save. However, as I’m playing today I go to save and the same thing comes up! I try to save again then this comes up ( cc attached photo) it keeps doing it so I switch households and the original error 0 comes up when I try to save! I’m not sure what to do at this point??

Oh no! Try setting up a new user account on your Mac - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mtusr001/mac and try playing a brand new clean game in that account. If it works add your old save in and see if it works. If it happens with that save well, I think you may need to bin it ☹️- @Bluebellflora Ok I will try it! What does having a new user change for the game.
I also just noticed in crinrict’s link he was taking about slot 000001 being the culprit but I don’t have that, mine start with 2. Like it’s saved in the first slot but in my saved folder it starts with 2
