Are you getting an error message? If so please post a screenshot.
If not, what exactly is happening when you try to launch the game? Are you trying to launch it from the app or by pressing play in Origin?
1. legacy edition - i've had this version since 2020
2. no, i am not running antivirus
3. yes, i've tried to repair the game in Origin
4. I have those but I can't check if they are corrupted or not as The Sims will not open
5. uploaded a screenshot of the storage - i also have an external hard drive that i use
I click "play" on origin, the sims app icon appears in my docs. after some seconds (once i hover over the app it says "application not responsive") it disappears (without opening) and takes me back to origin. I do not get any error msgs. screenshots attached

No one is running the Legacy Edition anymore because it is not available, your game will be attempting to run the current version.
No. 4 - exactly. Corrupted Mods can prevent the game from properly loading. Did you move your Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts to the desktop and then launch the game?
