I’m trying to use to move the game camera around in-game is moving my cursor over an area then clicking and dragging
Sorry, I'm trying to understand how you do this. If I move the cursor around with one finger it simply moves it around on screen, as expected. If I click and drag wherever my cursor is nothing happens, as I would expect and has always been the case for me. If I click anywhere in the game window using two fingers the cursor changes to the video camera and I can drag it around. But that is using two fingers, not one. I have the TS3 camera enabled.
You use Mods, have you tested in a completely clean Sims 4 folder? Whatever gestures you are using, please test in a clean folder in a new save as described here - [INSTRUCTIONS] How to troubleshoot and test a broken game | EA Forums - 11864548

Ok. I don't know what else to suggest based on the information you've provided. If you manage to find the cause please post back here to help anyone else having the same issue.
