I have a macbook air, and oops I did not know that syncing could make it worse. I saw some articles saying that would fix it so thats what I tried to do. When I check my macbook information it just says Apple M2.

If your user data from the Sims 4 folder is not loading then it will not be loading the ConfigOverride folder and amended GraphicsCard.sgr file, as well as not loading saves, Mods etc. Please, read the link I gave you about iCloud, you may need to disable iCloud Drive to get your user data working again.
You can go straight to the GraphicsCards.sgr file in The Sims 4.app > Contents > Resources and edit it there but every time you repair or update the game it will replace your edited file with the default file. The link in my opening post explains this in more detail.

Ok. let's check your Sims 4 folder(s). Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:
find ~ -type d -name "*The Sims 4*" 2>/dev/null
After a little while it will return the results of the search. You'll know when it's finished searching because the command prompt will reappear. Please copy and paste the results in a post here..
