Copy the save that isn't working into the newly created saves folder. Don't copy any other files over, this is to test the save in a clean environment.
I tried this but the problem is still there in the save file ☹️

The save is broken. Try restoring a backup from before it happened https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/save-games/This did not work either. I restored a save from 5 days before the problem happened but it's still not working.
