ive tried everything to make windows cast shadows in game, like being able to see the lines in the windows around the room from the sun? i play on a macbook, i dont have the option to turn laptop m...

You do have the laptop mode option in your game, scroll down in the graphics options.If the game has enabled laptop mode by default it may mean your hardware will struggle to render the game well on higher settings. Disable laptop mode, raise the lighting to High and see how it performs. You may have to sacrifice shadows for improved performance.
