GUYS I SORTED IT. i went into origin and pressed the settings button next to 'play' on sims 4 and pressed 'repair' then 'update game' then opened sims and clicked on my household and the last save and it worked.
@Pdog2607 This worked for me as well. 👍🏼 My game has loaded with no problems since repairing. Well, with the exception of my toddlers not eating the food they're holding 🤨 🤒
