@wyhone1972 Your game is fully patched then. If the new save doesn't have the new features, please do try a clean user folder.
@puzzlezaddict I did try a new save when I reinstalled the game. Does that count or is it better to try another one? I hate to sound so obtuse but as I'm so poorly versed on this stuff I thought I'd better check
@wyhone1972 It's important to try the clean Sims 4 folder, as described in post 4. Please let me know whether it works.
