Re: Game failing to launch. Windows flagging TS4_Launcher_x64.exe as Trojan

I updated my game today, and went to play after the update. A prompt came up saying there was an issue and to try again in a little bit. I tried again a few minutes later, and another prompt appeared stating my game files were corrupted and needed to be repaired. I repaired it, and got the same prompts. I repaired again. Same issue. I restarted my computer, it prompted me to repair the game again. I did. I do not play with mods or CC outside of the added marketplace items that are currently free. I have all packs, kits, and expansions. I played two days ago with no issues.

I have the exact same issue! I deleted my Sims 4 map and now I am downloading it again, I hope this solves it.

subduedgalaxies  Try clearing the EA App's cache before repairing yet again.

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

If that doesn't help, check your antivirus for any recent actions involving Sims 4 or the EA App.  Even Windows Defender could be interfering.

If you don't see anything there, please list the game's install location, as in, the file path you see in the EA App under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.  The default is C:\Program Files\EA Games.

I am also having this issue! The repairs weren't working so I uninstalled and reinstalled and it is still not working at all. I don't even play with mods so it isn't related to that.

Spent hours on this so I hope EA fixes this soon.

This is what is happening with mine on PC, no mods. I've tried restarting computer, repairing twice, folder reset, even opening from desktop launcher. It keeps popping up saying repairs needed. The first repair completed but fixed nothing as I got the same notification again. Two more attempts at repair stop at around 75% saying something went wrong. I've tried clearing the EA app cache and it still won't run

I was able to play just fine last night even after updating but now in my WD protection history, it's showing the the game is flagging as a trojan. I tried adding it to my Windows Defender exclusions list, restarting my computer and it still didn't work. The repair bar now just keeps restarting itself.

Thank you. I have followed all the hints, unfortunately without success :-( Google Gimini says to delete the windowser defender protection history, but I have already tried/ it does not work. Hopefully there will be an update from EA soon.
