About the activation code in the sims 4

Hello ,
Could someone tell me if the activation code comes with the sims 4 deluxe addition once i download it ? Or do i need to have a CD for the regular addition to get the activation code ?
I'm sorry if my questions seem to be ridiculous but I'm quite anxious about it ..
