I have done this myself, and resetting default app settings as mentioned earlier in the feed hasn't worked. I need to some how revert the .program file back as an unassigned "Open With" program.
Also deleting, and redownloading the zip folder doesn't do anything either.

@BoredomVirusXP im having exactly the exact same problem, it was caused by me trying to mod a game (sims 4) and restoring the default apps through settings also did not work. have you found a solution? you're one of the only people ive found in specifics of basically exactly what im experiencing, the automated save is now "IE ActiveX Interfe Marshaling Libarary" and wont let me save to that its telling me to save to notepad, paint, word, look on the Microsoft store, etc. i want to change it to what it was previously before i accidently clicked on internet explorer as i dont know what else i could possibly save it too. ++. @BoredomVirusXP is there any way you can help this, i understand what youre saying but is there any links or anything you can provide 🙂

There is a way to do it but it's HIGHLY not recommended. It's extremely easy to basically trash your entire operating system fixing it. I know how to do it but I'm going to help you by NOT telling you.
As far as The Sims goes, let me be plain...
IT DOES NOT MATTER.
If it's associated with something else, just ignore it. You should NEVER have a need to "open" a package file. It's all done by the game and the game doesn't care what its associated with.
