Accidentally opened package file with notepad
i downloaded the sims 4 time speed changer mod and i accidentally opened the package file with notepad. now the mod doesnt work in my game. ive also tried to redownloading the mod but it doesnt work

Oh, that's an old format mod.
You need to leave it in the zip file. Don't unzip it but put the zip file in your folder.
I did that and it didnt work!
The mod hasn't really been updated in a while and reports are very mixed.
You do have script mods enabled, right ?
MC Command Center also has some settings to change speed, maybe look into that one instead ?
