Best laptop or MacBook for Sims 4

Looking for a MacBook or laptop that is best for sims 4 with all the expansion packs and extra content. I’m looking at no more than $3500. But the cheaper the better as long as it’s quality!

    @lovisa-13  If you really want a Mac, you have the budget to accommodate one that will run Sims 4 on ultra graphics settings.  The 14" MBP with a basic M3 chip is more than sufficient for the game, and it's under budget:

    I would strongly recommend upgrading to 16 GB RAM, which puts the price at $3,000 AUD, but you don't need to go further than that.  If you happen to need more storage in the future, an external SSD is cheaper than upgrading the internal storage and comes in whatever size you want.

    The 16" MacBook Pros only come with an M3 Pro or Max and are therefore significantly more expensive.  I would stay away from the MacBook Air due to its lack of a fan.  It's fine for shorter workloads but isn't conducive to long play sessions, although a laptop fan or tray would help if you wanted to go that route.

    I do need to say that a Windows laptop capabel of running Sims 4 on ultra settings would cost a lot less.  How much less would depend on whether you only wanted a basic gaming laptop ($1,300-$1,500 last I checked) or something a bit nicer.  If you'd like examples, let me know what details matter to you: screen size, keyboard layout, that sort of thing.

@lovisa-13  The first question is whether you want a Mac or a Windows PC.  A Mac will cost more for the same performance, as you probably already know, but some of us are willing to pay a premium for the quality of the machine and the ability to use macOS.  I have no idea if you fall into that category or not, so please let me know.  If you don't actually care, maybe a Windows laptop would be the right choice for cost and flexibility.

I'd like to know any other details that matter to you as well.  For this budget, or well under it, you could get more than just Sims 4-on-ultra-settings-level power, for example a lighter machine or one with a high-end screen.

Please also list your country, since several use dollars.  $3,500 is a lot anywhere but will go further in some markets than others, plus availability varies wildly between countries.

I really want a Mac haha but happy to do a laptop too. So if you could help out with a suggestion for both that would be great. 

I guess for me speed performance so it’s not lagging or glitchy. Also the quality of the display. 

I’m in Australia.
