Bills can’t be paid.

I can’t find a single post that helps with this issue. My sim family can’t pay their bills. The bills are in the husband’s inventory, the option is on the phone, mailbox, and computer, the sim makes the motion as if they’ve paid them, and yet no money is taken and the option remains. They’ve got repo men showing up now to take all their stuff and I STILL can’t pay the bills. I’ve tried getting rid of pets, traveling off lot, playing a different household in the same save, adding a new sim to the household, deleting the local cache, I mean short of deleting the whole save idk what else to do. There are NO resolutions from EA and nothing from the old posts works. This started for me after the most recent update as of June 2025. It also started raining inside for me then, too.
