black streaks in cc hair??

so i downloaded a bunch of custom content today, i ran mod conflict detector and got rid of any files, then updated and repaired my game to make sure everything was all good before playing. i loaded one of my sims and found out that any cc hair i put on him had weird black streaks.. most people say their issue is fixed by turning off laptop mode but i checked my settings and i never had laptop mode switched on,, i'm not sure how to fix it?
