blue tint original post gone "marked as spam

I was responding to on my original post and it said "marked as spam" and now my post is gone. (copy from my profile below)
thanks for your response
Screenshot of all computers it's been on or just one of them?
*spouse has own Origin acct and purchesed game separately
*mine has been installed on all computers including his and still gets blue tint. His doesn't get blue tint on his or my other computers
*we play the same except I probably do little more detailed deco than him.
***To me, when this happens it appears to be "stuck" in morning shade. But when it happens I can ff cycle through a whole day in play mode and/or change it in build mode, etc etc and it doesn't correct it.
*when he is in morning mode - it pretty much looks like mine does all the time.
*We've checked and his settings mirror mine 100%.
Again, I can't see your reply now that post was moved as spam. Did you want shot of the info on all computers?
thanks!

OMGosh this post is gigantic! I'm so sorry it's long.

Sims 4:

I periodically have any white objects in my game turn blue.  I've spent many days total trying to trouble shoot this. I have attached a few pics,

Please read everything I've tried. (more than once on all....

I'll be playing, building, in game mode or build mode and be fine.  then one day in the middle of playing I get the blue tint..

I have uninstalled and reinstalled on 3 laptops and 2 desktops.

This does not happen to my spouses game on ANY of the computers and he has the exact same game.

Once everything gets the blue tint - I cannot get it to go away.  Then another day or whenever, it decides to be fine but only for so long

I have: re-installed without expansion packs

Modified pretty much ANY game options one at a time trying to troubleshoot (but since it works sometimes I doubt it's my settings)\

Build or play mode

Any time of day

Once it starts it's just maybe 5-10 objects and then when i click around it all ends up blue

It is any lot - ALL lots will be fine until mine turns blue and then they are all blue. even if i uninstall and reinstall, etc.

It corrects itself out of nowhere on a random login after giving up for a day or so

I'll have an entire lot full of so many objects and house stories before it happens- all fine for awhile.

no specific object, action, etc triggers it - different lots, different sims, etc

Sometimes my stuff turns blue but a room pre-built that i purchase will have white objects and they stay white within that room only

But other times the purchased room is white until I modify something in it, then it's whites turn blue

And more other times the prebuilt rooms stay white but I put a blue tinted object in the object stays blue next to the games whites - other times they don't(example me purchase a pure white couch and compare it to the games room white couch)

I have no mods or cc's installed

Doesn't happen on any particular lot or moving to any particular lots...

We recently purchased these (maybe a month or so) and mine started this early on.

You would think a particular action, object or something  in my game is triggering it.

Today was another perfect example.

It's been fine for days.  Last night I was playing, more building, sim parties, etc etc.  All was fine.  Then today when I opened the game to play everything had the blue tint and no matter what I re-do today - it won't go away. I could log on tomorrow and it be fine or still blue - it's a guessing game anymore.

I have quite a few expansion packs...but...I have re-downloaded without the packs to rule those out

Again the inconsistency doesn't provide me any logical possibility that I can think of.

The pics I have-  I just put some stuff on a new lot just to post here.  Where you see 2 rooms...one I did something to and other is a game built purchased room - which those have been inconsistent also. :-(

And why would an enclosed room have white color but if you open a wall to natural light it turns blue like these pics but other times if you move white couch out  it stays white

I keep re-reading this trying to think of did I cover everything and hope I didn't list something twice - lol

I hope someone has some kind of idea we've not thought of or tried.

  • I honestly can't see what you mean with the pictures you've posted here. I can't see any difference on the images (if I'm supposed to). In the first one I would assume shadowing is causing the different light on the sofas. Check your settings for shadows and see whether this fixes it - it may be that it needs to be different to your spouse.

  • @SherylHof  Hopefully your original thread will resurface, but in the meantime, I was wondering about different settings between your and your spouse's accounts.  This goes both for Origin and for the computer, as in, do you and he login to different Windows user accounts when you play on the same computer?  And I just wanted to see your graphics settings, and his graphics settings, on the same computer where it's confirmed that you get this blue weirdness and he does not.

If you and he do use two different Windows user accounts, an easy test would be to login to his, then login to your own Origin account, and see whether the problem shows up again.

We found something.  He is in the city world and I'm in willow creek.

I went to the city and put white objects on a lot and they weren't blue like mine in willow creek.  I attached a pic.

BUT, I went back to willow creek to put my objects in same position to compare to his world - and mine in willow creek are back to normal again.

I'll rebuild again as usual.  I'm sure this will happen again, always does.  Now that I know how to screen capture I'll take some when it's good then when it goes back blue again.

    See what I mean...totally inconsistent.

@SherylHof  I have an idea of what this might be, but it would be better if you tested yourself (and I will have a look too).  Please let me know which lots in Willow Creek are affected, and if there are any that are not affected.  You don't need to test every single one, but if it doesn't take too long, a couple in each neighborhood would be helpful.

Additionally, any time you notice the issue, please take a screenshot of the whole neighborhood in Map View.

I can. However I can see them all blue from my lot, plus I've moved my person to another lot, and then also moved my sim with all my inventory instead of what comes with lot, as well as bull dozed other lots.

Right now I'm building in city world.  I attached a picture (with one of the walls knocked out since that triggers it)  If and when it goes blue I'll screen shot as well as be mindful of what I was doing, time of day, etc.

Not sure where you are but i'm in Alabama U.S time zone so almost bedtime before more building,

@SherylHof  Whenever you get a chance to test, let me know.  It would also be interesting to see whether this changes after the patch tomorrow, or I guess later today for you.  In any case, I'd still like to know specifically what graphics settings you use, so I can try using them myself; and a dxdiag on at least one affected computer would be useful just for comparison of the hardware.
