Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

Did you also try playing around with the rest of the graphics settings ?
Hi, thank you for your timely response. I have attached the requested info.
I haven't played around with the settings too much because the screen tends to freeze when I try to and I have to go to my task manager to get out of the game. I have also taken a look at the nvidia control panel but I don't understand any of the terminology so I don't feel comfortable messing around with it unless given instruction to do so.
Would you be able to specify what my recommended settings should be based on the information I provided you with?
Thank you!

From what I can see you have an intel chip and a nvidia card
This is a laptop computer, right ? Do you have an external Monitor attached or something ?
If not, make sure the game runs on the Nvidia card and not the chip: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/graphics-cardintel-chip-dual-systems/

I am using a laptop computer with no external monitor, just an external keyboard and mouse. I have made sure the game is using the Nvidia card and I am still encountering the same issue. Everything in my game looks good except the appearance of sims, mainly in the facial region. Lines appear blurred and jagged, I can only get a crisp image when I zoom in at close proximity.

Could you post some screenshots how it looks for you ?
Also a screenshot of your current graphics settings would be helpful.
Meanwhile you can also update your Nvidia drivers as they are from September and there were new ones in January
