EA and Sims 4 aren't opening for me. I have enough disc space. I have cleared cache. Any ideas of what's wrong?
Update: I did get the game to work again as usual. I discovered that I was in the middle of the game updating and tech assistance was doiuing a tune up at the dame time (trying to fic the issue). After the update, the game worked again. Thank you all for your advice.
@simsgirl26 If the EA App isn't working, Sims 4 won't either, so that's the place to start. What happens when you try to open the App? Please post a screenshot of what you see, including any error message you get. Please also let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the EA App, but it's still not working and I can't play the game. My game recently updated -- so frustrating ☹️
I did the mandatory update, and today my EA will launch. However, my game is blacked out, showing installed, but all pics and wording blacked out. I was only able to get it to launch by clicking my saved plumbob symbol in my start bar.

If you restart the computer the EA App will work correctly and you will be able to open the game.
@Rosanne259 What issue are you having? Please post a screenshot of any error or other issue you see.

I am having the same issue happen again that I'd posted earlier last week. I thought it was resolved with noting that I was having a Windows Update and tech assistance clear cache and the game later launched. EA worked. Now, it's back to the same thing.
There is no error message. No screenshot to show because it's just a blank black page with EA and Sims 4 only stays at the "Preparing Your Game" and never changes or launches the game.
I have closed the computer, restarted it, cleared cache once more, and it's not launching the game or going to the EA page. I'm not having issues with anything else or anything but EA and Sims 4.
I have a Windows PC, Windows 11, I play on a desktop, I have enough space on the computer, still the game won't launch.
Anyone have any idea as to what the problem is?
I read through the replies of the earlier post. Like I said, there's no screenshot to give, there's a blank screen for EA. Sims 4 will sometimes go to the "Preparing our Game" and never getting there or else that's a blank black page also..
Does anyone have any ideas on what the fix is?
@simsgirl26 Please uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), and restart your computer before reinstalling the App. Then see whether it loads properly.
