Broken Game after Update

I finally have a day off and was looking forward to spending it playing but I was scared to update after what everyone has been saying and of course the game doesn't work :( I keep clicking one of my households and it immediately takes me back to the world view page... I hate thissss I just wanna playyy ☹️
